Hi, my name is Paige and I’m a youth volunteer at CBYF. Being a part of the CBYF team has been such a positive and gratifying experience.
A lot of what I do as a member of the youth council is to provide my input on projects that are happening within CBYF. As a youth-led project, it is so important that the youth council members are able to provide honest and constructive feedback to the project. The meetings that are held monthly for the youth council are fun, inclusive and welcoming! Every time I attend a meeting I expect to have a great time!
CBYF is a judgment-free zone where everyone is able to share their opinions equally. During my time at CBYF, I have been given multiple leadership and expansion opportunities. I have joined other committees within CBYF and have grown as a leader since joining this group.
CBYF is a community that I am proud to be a part of. It isn’t just a volunteer group but a great group of people. I have made so many new connections here that have impacted my life. CBYF also puts a lot of their time back into the volunteers. They have helped me with some decisions regarding post-secondary and they truly care about their volunteers. CBYF is a place where everyone is welcome, it is a community that provides great opportunities to learn and grow!
